Making and emailing reports
Choose a report format, add the photo appendix or the ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form, generate the PDF and email it to your client.

A report is made from a finalized assessment. Each one is a new version: a frozen copy of the assessment as it is at that moment, so a report you’ve sent never changes underneath you.
Before you start
Mark the assessment Preliminary or Final first (how to finalize). Then click Go to Reports on the finalize page, or New report… on the assessment’s Review tab.
Choose a format
| Format | What you get |
|---|---|
| Micro | The first page only: the summary, rating and recommendation. |
| Standard | The full report, with photos in each section. |
| Detailed | The full report with contents, numbered sections and definitions. |
| Export to ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form only | Only the filled form, with nothing else. |
Your default format is chosen to start with; the account owner can change it in Report defaults.
Add-ons
- Include photo appendix adds the assessment’s included photos at the back of the report.
- Export to ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form adds the filled-in form after your report, so the client gets both in one PDF.
Click Generate report. It takes a few moments; the version appears under Versions and turns Ready when the PDF is done.
Tip: Page 1 uses your business profile, logo, credentials and signature. If something’s missing there, fix it in Settings, then generate a new version.
Download or email it
Under Versions, each ready report has Download PDF and Email.
Email opens a message with the client’s email address and a subject and message already filled in. Change anything you like, add up to 10 addresses, tick Send me a copy if you want one, and click Send report. The PDF is attached, and the email’s status shows under its version.
Making changes after sending
Reports never change once made. If the assessment needs a correction, move a preliminary assessment back to draft, or start a new assessment, then generate a new version. Every earlier version stays listed, so you always know what the client received.
If a report shows Failed, click Try again.
