Arborist report software

Arborist report software that writes up the field work for you.

The assessment you capture at the tree becomes the report. Choose a format, add your remarks, and email a finished PDF with your logo, photos, credentials and signature.

A day on the job

Three reports before the end of the day.

You assessed three trees this morning. Instead of an evening at the keyboard, here's the write-up in RootFlare.

The tree's photo gallery on a phone: numbered photos of the trunk and leaves, one with a defect circled in orange.

1. Mark up the photos

Circle the decay, add an arrow and a label. The markings print on the report.

The Mitigation tab in field mode on a phone: a pruning recommendation and its residual risk, with the failure types it addresses ticked.

2. Recommend the work

Each mitigation option with the residual risk it leaves, linked to the failure types it addresses.

The Assessments list on a phone: search and filters for status, rating, client and dates, and an assessment rated Moderate Risk, Final.

3. Pick up where you left off

Every assessment, its status and its rating, ready to finalize.

Reports

A report your clients will read.

Page 1 is the tree, the overall rating, the failure types that set it and your recommended mitigation. The details, photos and ratings follow.

Page 1 of a RootFlare report: the tree's photo beside the client, location and species, the overall Low rating with its highest-rated failure types and recommended mitigation, then the assessor's credentials and signature.
The report: cover, summary, photos and ratings, a PDF you email from the assessment.
The same assessment exported to the Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form, its fields filled in and its boxes ticked.
Export to ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form.

What's included

Less typing, the same standard every time.

Three report formats

Micro for a quick answer, Standard for most jobs, Detailed with numbered sections and a contents list.

Preview first

See the report as it will print before you make it, even while the assessment is a draft.

Your remarks

Add a risk assessor's remarks to page 1, in your own words.

Email from the app

Send the PDF to the client from the assessment, with their email already filled in.

Ratings you didn't type

Every rating comes from the risk matrix, so the numbers on the page always add up.

Every version kept

A report you've sent never changes. A correction is a new version beside it.

ISA form export

Export to ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form, filled from the same assessment.

Photos that explain

Numbered photos with arrows, circles and labels, chosen for the report or left out.

FAQ

Questions arborists ask.

Which report formats can I make?

Micro, a short summary; Standard, the full report; and Detailed, which adds numbered sections, a contents list and the methods. Each can include a photo appendix, and any assessment can also be exported to the ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form.

Can I put my logo and signature on reports?

Yes. Your business logo and address go at the top, and your credentials, with any badges you upload, and your signature go on page 1.

Can I email the report to my client from RootFlare?

Yes. Email it from the assessment; the client's address is filled in from their record and you can add your own message.

What if I need to correct a report after sending it?

Make a new version. Every version is kept, and a report you've sent never changes, so you always know exactly what the client received.

Does AI write my reports?

No. Reports are made only from what you recorded. Nothing an AI suggested ever appears in a report unless you applied it to the assessment yourself.
